Have you gone on your summer travels yet? Just a friendly reminder that there’s still plenty of time to fit in a final adventure--summer isn’t over until September 22nd!
I just took a last minute flash trip to Puerto Rico for my Grandpa’s 80th birthday. My trip was only 4 days long, so the last thing I wanted to worry about was too much luggage or whether my check-in bag would arrive safely. I needed the right outfits and jewelry for the celebration, so I had to pack smart with only a carry-on
Here’s what I learned about packing extra light and selecting jewelry that would work with all of my outfits and transition seamlessly from day to night. All you need is 5 pieces!
- Pack Two Pairs of Earrings: One short pair suited for daytime activities and one long pair to dress up a casual tropical look for a night out in Old San Juan.
- Pack Two Necklaces: One short necklace keeps your look casual and simple but still stylish for day or night, including travel days. Bring a long necklace to dress things up for nights out--layer it with the short necklace to make more of a statement!
- Pack One Bracelet: Our wrap around bracelet is a fail-proof look for traveling anywhere. You can wear it during the day for a walk in the old city as well as for dinner out while sipping a refreshing drink of Puerto Rican rum with coconut water.
*Bonus Tip: My favorite Puerto Rican rum is Ron del Barrilito 3 Stars. If you ever have the luck to visit Puerto Rico, don’t leave without tasting this rum--or at the very least, pick up a bottle from the duty free shop to take home!
